Voter List Draft list shows 14,65,046 new voters
Dhaka, January 18: The draft voter list has been released by the Election Commission (EC). According to this list, the number of voters in the country is 11,12,84,158. In the draft list, in 2019-2020, 14,65,046 new voters have been registered. Md. Alamgir, senior secretary of the EC, told reporters at the election building in Agargaon on Sunday (January 17).
Among the new voters, 9,01,983 are male voters, 5,63,046 are female voters and 15 have applied as third gender. He also said that if any information is wrong or needs to be corrected, they have to apply for correction by January 31.
As of Sunday, there are a total of 11,12,84,158 voters in the EC list.
Of these, 5,63,84,513 are male voters, 5,48,99,270 are female voters and 375 are third gender voters.
The secretary added that dead voters were not excluded from. The final voter list, which will be released on March 2, will contain information on dead voters.
