Dhaka, June 28: Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said that education is the main tool of the present government to realize the dream of a developed and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041 and to achieve the international commitment SDG.

She said every work of the Ministry of Education is very important for the nation and urged all officials of the ministry to work for the implementation of the annual performance agreement with honesty, dedication and sincerity.

She made the statement while speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony of the annual performance agreement of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education and the Department of Technical and Madrasa Education online on Sunday (June 27).

Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Department Md. Mahbub Hossain and the heads of 15 departments and agencies under the department signed the annual performance agreement for the fiscal year 2021-22 in the conference room of the ministry.

Meanwhile, Secretary of the Technical and Madrasa Education Department Md. Aminul Islam Khan and the heads of five departments and agencies of the department signed the annual performance agreement for the fiscal year 2021-22.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury was virtually connected as the special guest on the occasion. Besides, heads and senior officials of various departments of the two departments were also present.

The education minister said the education ministry had enacted and reformed some laws and regulations during the Corona period. The Ministry of Education has formulated MPO policy in Corona. The Education Act has been finalized. Very successfully 35 crore textbooks have been handed over to the students. She specially thanked the staff of the Ministry of Education for this.

In addition to the signing of the performance agreement, the award for good work for the financial year 2020-21 has been given at the ceremony. Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Prof. Syed Golam Farooq, Fazlur Rahman, Senior Assistant Secretary, Department of Secondary and Higher Education and Yusuf, Office Assistant, Department of Secondary and Higher Education have been awarded the Integrity Award of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education for the financial year 2020-21.

Rahima Akhter, Deputy Secretary, Technical and Madrasa Education Department, Yusuf Ali, office assistant and computer typist and Md. Shafiul Islam, Director, National Academy of Computer Training and Research (NACTAR) have been awarded the Integrity Award for FY 2020-21.
