Educational institutions to remain closed as coronavirus threat looms large
Dhaka, June 12: The general holiday period in all educational institutions of the country has been extended by another term. This holiday has been extended till June 30. The Ministry of Education said in a statement on Saturday (June 12).
As the Corona situation deteriorates further in different parts of the country and partially severe lockdowns remain in effect in some parts of the country, the health and overall safety of students, teachers, staff and parents will be taken into consideration. The ongoing holidays of all secondary level educational institutions and Ebtedai and Qawmi madrasas have been extended till June 30.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education had decided to open all secondary and higher secondary level educational institutions in the country on June 13 subject to improvement in the Covid-19 situation.
