Dhaka, February 16: All the educational institutions of the country will be opened this month. Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni was responding to a question from reporters after the swearing-in ceremony of the newly elected chairmen at the Chandpur Deputy Commissioner's Office on Wednesday (February 16).

"We have a meeting with the National Consultative Committee tonight. We will be able to make a decision after reviewing the Corona situation. The matter will be discussed with the Prime Minister," she said.

Dipu Moni said, "Although we cannot say the exact date, we hope that the educational institution will be opened this month. However, everyone has to conduct their activities in accordance with the rules of hygiene. The sooner we can get out of the situation normally, the sooner all classes will start normally."

The Education Minister said, "In the new education curriculum, based on the spirit of the Liberation War, students should be science-minded, they should be technology-friendly, they should be accustomed to using technology, they should become proficient and qualified. The skills that people need in every task in life, they should learn to grow up with values."

Addressing the students who have just passed the HSC examination, Dipu Moni said, "There are more seats (university admissions) than the number of students who have passed HSC. So students will not have any difficulty in getting admitted. Not all those who have passed HSC can be admitted to the university. Many go for technical education. Many join the work. I think many of those who have been successful will be educated in technical education and there will be a lot of good employment arrangements at home and abroad."

Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish, Superintendent of Police Md. Milon Mahmud, Chairman of Chandpur Sadar Upazila Parishad Nurul Islam Nazim Dewan, Mayor of the municipality Md. Zillur Rahman Jewel and others were present on the occasion.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Anjana Khan Majlish administered the oath of office to 31 chairmen of Haimchar, Faridganj and Kachua upazilas who won the election.
