Dhaka, June 7: The Election Commission does not represent the government. It is an independent organization. Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal said this in an exchange meeting with the candidates of the Rajshahi City Corporation election at the district Shilpakala Academy on Wednesday (June 7) morning.

CEC said, go to court if you have doubts about EVM. don't tell us We have not seen ghosts in EVMs. If you see it, go to court. Don't spread any confusion about EVM. If you have any evidence, submit it directly to the court.

He also said that candidates should follow the rules of election conduct. Otherwise, the Election Commission will not delay at all in canceling the candidature.

Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner GSM Zafarullah presided over the function as special guests, Election Commission Brigadier General Md. Ahsan Habib Khan (Retd.), Election Secretary Jahangir Alam, Rajshahi Range DIG Abdul Baten, Superintendent of Police Masud Hossain, Metropolitan Police Commissioner Anisur Rahman, Rasiq Election Returning Officers and candidates were present.
