Dhaka, Nov 11: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that elections are more important than democracy. Elections are the vehicle and lifeblood of democracy. That's why you have to realize the importance and fulfill the responsibility. Our main demand is that voting rights should not be disrupted. Voters can vote. We want to see that.

He said these things at the training program for field administration officials organized at Election Training Institute (ETI) on Friday (November 10).

Highlighting the context of the election, he said, the whole country is in a frenzy over the election. There are arguments for and against every day. A dimension has also been found. Various countries and organizations of the world are interested to see the upcoming twelfth national election of Bangladesh.

CEC said to the DC-SPs, we have to work with your help. The expected cooperation was fully received in the previous elections. Feeling reassured since that day, though the dimensions of the national elections are much greater. He said that one of the responsibilities of the EC is to create transparency by making the electoral process visible. When transparency is ensured, disinformation is covered. Transparency means transparency even if it is lawlessness and transparency should be created even if it is morality.

CEC said, to the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police, they should understand the importance of elections from a sense of responsibility. At the same time, use power and force if necessary for orderly elections. In this context, he further said, we want to see that with wisdom, strength, experience, knowledge, they will perform their duties in such a way that the elections are free, fair and peaceful. Our message is that elections should be peaceful and orderly. I can't be disciplined. you can

Kazi Habibul Awal said, "On the day of voting, the entire nation... voters are standing in line, if there is an attempt to seal inside, someone will take a picture or make a video of it. When they become public, our neutrality will also be questioned. Our failure, inefficiency will be reflected."
