Rangpur Projects Electricity will not be a problem anymore: Prime Minister in Rangpur
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 2 August 2023: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that there will be no more electricity problems in Bangladesh. She said, "We have been able to provide electricity to every house. Due to the increase in the price of coal and gas, there was a problem with electricity for a few days. After that, it has been fixed. There will be no more problems with electricity."
The Prime Minister said these things in the public meeting of Awami League organized at Rangpur Zilla School ground on Wednesday, August 2 afternoon. He further said, "I have not come empty-handed. I have brought gifts for you. I have inaugurated so many projects. I have made arrangements to speed up every development."
Earlier, the helicopter carrying Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from Tejgaon Airport arrived at Rangpur Cantonment Helipad at 2 pm. From there, the Prime Minister went to Circuit House by road. Awami League president participated in the meeting after exchanging views with departmental level officials there.
Earlier, at 12:30 PM, the public meeting started with the performance of the national anthem. The historical district school ground of Rangpur was filled to the brim with the presence of leaders and activists. Leaders and activists from different districts of the division took positions on both sides of the main road beyond the field. They expressed their excitement by wearing colorful clothes and singing to the beat of musical instruments.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, is present as the main speaker in the public meeting under the chairmanship of Rangpur Metropolitan Awami League convener Dr. Delwar Hossain.
Besides, former Minister of State for Primary and Mass Education Motahar Hossain, former Minister of Shipping Shajahan Khan, Minister of Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Presidium Member of Awami League Advocate Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Presidium Member and Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, Joint General Secretary and Information Minister of Awami League. Dr. Hashan Mahmud, Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Water Resources Deputy Minister Enamul Haque Shamim, Awami League Treasurer HN Ashiqur Rahman, former Culture Minister Asaduzzaman Noor, Awami League Organizing Secretary SM Kamal Hossain and Sujit Roy Nandi and other central leaders are present on the stage.
