Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 3 March 2024: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said that her government is implementing various projects to make the armed forces of the country modern, timely and technologically knowledgeable to face any situation, so that they are able to face the situation.
She said these things while addressing the chief guest at the third reunion ceremony of 'Bangladesh Infantry Regiment' or 'BIR', the second largest regiment of the Bangladesh Army, at the Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Center in Rajshahi Cantonment on Saturday, March 2 morning.
The Chief Minister said, "After coming to power, Awami League has established a significant number of infantry divisions, brigades, units and training institutes in the army and we have taken steps to build an armed force with modern technology. Therefore, we want our armed forces to be properly developed to face any situation in the country. will rise."
Thanking the members of the armed forces, she said, "From natural disasters, our armed forces stand by the people. Not only that, the government is working extensively for the development of the country's infrastructure and our armed forces are also contributing to the development of the country by standing by the people." "
Sheikh Hasina said, "That's why we all unite and take the country forward, this is our goal. In the meantime, we are taking a comprehensive program for the overall development of the country. Moreover, as we are working to improve the country by eradicating poverty, today's Bangladesh is a global leader. It has been considered as a role model for development. Today's Bangladesh can no longer be neglected. Bangladesh now stands tall in the court of the world. We will move the country forward in that way."
