Factories Opening Factories, domestic flights to be operational from August 6
Dhaka, August 5: Factories and domestic flights will become operational from tomorrow (Friday, August 6). A notification was issued by the Cabinet Division on Thursday (August 5) pertaining to the same.
However, the government has extended the ongoing lockdown till midnight of August 10.
Under the two conditions, the factories and domestic flights have been exempted from the restrictions and will operate following hygiene rules. On July 23, the government imposed strict restrictions from 6 am for 14 days. That restriction will expire at 12 midnight on Friday (August 6).
All types of public transport, government and private offices are closed due to restrictions. All types of industries are closed except for food production-processing, leather transport-preservation and pharmaceutical sectors.
The government has opened export-oriented factories from August 1. However, shops and shopping malls have been kept shut. It is also forbidden for people to go out without urgent need.
