Dhaka, March 20: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has warned that those who want to create unrest in the country ahead of the Golden Jubilee celebrations will have their fangs uprooted. He issued the warning at a regular briefing at his official residence on Saturday (March 20th).

He said the Awami League is in power today through the struggle of the movement. The Awami League is in government, but has not left the highway. So there is no point in showing fear of movement to Awami League. The Awami League is ready to give a proper response if any attempt is made to create chaos in the formality of the Golden Jubilee of Independence.

The general secretary of the Awami League said that India was the main ally of Bangladesh in the great liberation war of 1971. On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, the head of government of India has been invited, not any individual.

He thinks it is now clear who is attacking and looting the houses of Hindus in Shalla, Sunamganj ahead of Narendra Modi's visit to Bangladesh. He also said the attacks and looting were part of a pre-planned conspiracy.

The general secretary called upon the people to unite under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina to resist the threat of repeating the incident of 2013 at Shapla Chattar with the shroud, the announcement to resist Narendra Modi's visit and the threat to throw the sculpture of Bangabandhu in Buriganga.

Obaidul Quader paid deep homage to the eighth death anniversary of the late Zillur Rahman, former President of Bangladesh and General Secretary of Awami League more than once. He also thinks that the memory of Zillur Rahman will be our source of inspiration.
