Dhaka, August 21: Election Commissioner Rasheda Sultana said that the preparations for the elections are progressing and the political instability will decrease gradually. A time will come when BNP will come to the polls. She said this while talking to reporters at Nirbachan Bhaban on Sunday.

Rasheda Sultana said, "We have actually started a four-way preparation. We have started all the work that we have to do to vote. It has come a long way. Efforts are on to prepare guidelines for polling officers. The commission will meet on Monday."

She said that the trainers will have to be trained before starting the training. That is why the draft list of polling stations has arrived. Now the confusion about polling stations and polling officers has started. Hundreds of thousands of people need to be trained through central presiding, assistant presiding, polling officers.

The Election Commissioner said that polling officials should work in accordance with the rules, considering their skills and professionalism. Everyone will act impartially as before. Training of trainers is planned to start from September-October. Then after the announcement of the schedule, the training of polling officers will begin after the allocation of symbols - said Rasheda Sultana.

In response to a question about foreign observers, Rasheda Sultana said that details can be given when these issues are discussed in the commission meeting. We will not hire. It will become domestic and foreign. They have to work according to the rules.

The election commissioner said that there was no pressure to vote under the party government. She said, "We have done so many votes, we did not feel any pressure. We have no pressure yet. But from the outside people can sense that there is pressure. In the true sense, it is not told from any side. No one in the commission is under pressure from any side. People have to believe it."

"The commission has nothing to do with political unrest. Always say, believe, these things will be alleviated. It will ultimately be a fair election. ...We will continue our efforts to make fair and acceptable voting," the election commissioner also talked about the thought of sending ballot papers early in the morning of the polling day to face the challenge.

Rasheda Sultana said, "Voting is a challenge. Be it in EVM or ballot. Trying to do whatever it takes to overcome the challenge. A big step to meet the challenge - I will try to send the ballot papers as early as possible in all except remote and remote areas. We are thinking about this."
