BNP Politics Government to inaugurate mega projects next year, BNP will see the inevitable: Quader
Dhaka, September 27: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that some mega projects will be inaugurated next year, i.e. in 2022, and the BNP will see the inevitable at that time. He made the remarks at a seminar and prayer meeting organized by the Agriculture and Cooperatives Sub-Committee at the Awami League office on Monday (September 27) on the occasion of the 75th birthday of party president Sheikh Hasina.
Quader said, "When the mega projects are inaugurated one by one next year, the BNP will see the inevitable. The voting politics of Bangladesh is very complicated. People want development now. People now want to see a leader with character. And there is one and she is Sheikh Hasina."
He told his party leaders and workers, "Many of the Awami League workers said they were not evaluated, did not get anything. I hear such wails. Look at the Bangabandhu family. How did this family survive when Bangabandhu was in jail? How Begum Mujib has kept a family in check. Read that history. Learn from history. Bangabandhu's family is a rare example of honesty in politics. We have to learn from this."
He said, 'Sheikh Hasina did not build any alternative power house or Hawa Bhaban with her children. She has enriched their knowledge with merit and education."
Quader said, "I will tell the leaders and workers of Awami League to stop crying. Sheikh Hasina has opened many doors of earning and survival in Bangladesh. There is no profit in keeping an eye on money. Follow the example of Bangabandhu family. Look at the leader. Don't look at money and wealth."
The Awami League general secretary asked who will be the BNP leader in the next parliamentary elections. "I want to ask the BNP who is their leader in the next elections? Who is your leader in the movement? Who will the movement surround? Who will form the government? We are stating that our leader is Sheikh Hasina."
Obaidul Quader said, "You (BNP) show an alternative to Sheikh Hasina. Show one. The fugitive, convicted accused, is your next Prime Minister! Will the people of Bangladesh accept it? People are not so stupid. People know that there is no benefit in voting the BNP."
He said, "BNP has called on different parties to unite in the next elections. Last time too there was a unity under the leadership of Dr. Kamal Hossain. The people of this country have also seen the results of that unity."
