Govt Govt creates 2 lakh posts in five years
Dhaka, July 6: Two lakh posts have been created in various ministries and departments of the government in the last five years. State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain said this in response to the question of Syeda Rubina Akhtar of the reserved seat in the question and answer session of the Jatiya Sangsad on Wednesday. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury chaired the question and answer table.
The State Minister said that in view of the needs of various ministries and departments from the Ministry of Public Administration, consent was given to create two lakh eight posts from 2019 to 2023. After completing all the necessary formalities for the creation of posts, Government Orders (GO) are issued from the concerned ministries and departments. Later the appointment was made to the vacant post.
In view of the recommendations of the Public Works Commission (PSC), 16,029 people have been appointed to various cadre posts in the current tenure of the government. Referring to the ongoing recruitment process, the State Minister for Public Administration said that the recruitment process of almost all ministries and departments of the government is currently underway.
