Heavy rains: Waterlogging and traffic jams in the capital
Dhaka, June 1: Heavy rains lashed the capital from dawn till 8 am on Tuesday (June 1), after which it drizzled till 9:30 am. Roads in different parts of the capital were inundated. In many places, traffic jams were created as several vehicles had engine failure due to being submerged in water.
Long queues of transport, public transport, private cars and motor vehicles fell on the road for hours. Office-goers and pedestrians suffer in traffic jams and traffic jams. It takes an hour and a half to cross a hundred yards on some roads.
