Sheikh Hasina Hefazat demands release of leaders while meeting Sheikh Hasina
Dhaka, 18 December 2022 : A delegation of 11 members of Hefazet Islam met with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Meanwhile, they demanded the release of activists and the withdrawal of all cases in their name, along with the inclusion of scholars in the Education Commission.
On Saturday (December 17) at 3:30 pm, the delegation of Hefazat Islam entered Ganabhaban. The meeting lasted for an hour. Maulana Muhiuddin Rabbani, Publicity Secretary of Hefazat Islam, confirmed this to Jago News.
She said that the prime minister has been requested to release the activists and activists from custody and withdraw all the cases in their name and include the scholars in the education commission.
A delegation of 11 members led by Defense Secretary General Sheikh Sajidur Rahman participated in the meeting. National Ulama Mashayekh Conference was held at Kazi Bashir Auditorium in Gulistan on the initiative of Hefazat Islam on Saturday. Central leaders from all over the country came to Dhaka to participate in this conference. On this day, the memorandum was given to the Prime Minister and preparations were made for the meeting. On this occasion, Hefazat leaders conducted a corona test on Friday.
According to sources, Hefazat leader Maulana Mamunul Haque, Mufti Haroon Izhar, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Mufti Sakhawat Hossain Razi, Maulana Nasiruddin Munir have demanded the unconditional release of all Hefazat activists. At the same time, they demanded the Prime Minister to withdraw the case in the name of Hefazat leaders. Hefazat leaders raised their objections to the Prime Minister about the religious subjects in the textbooks. They carry books of different classes. Part of the objection was presented to the Prime Minister.
Hefazat leader Maulana Mir Idris said that there was a very productive discussion with the Prime Minister, he listened to us seriously.
Earlier, on November 4, 2018, central leaders including the late Hefazat Amir Ahmad Shafi took the same stage with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recognized the equivalent of Master's in Dawarae Hadith of Qaumi Madrasa. The gathering was organized to thank the Prime Minister for this.
