Hefazat Secretary General Hefazat Secretary General Nurul Islam Jihadi dies
Dhaka, November 29: The Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam, Nurul Islam Jihadi, has died on Monday while being undergoing treatment at a Dhaka hospital, reports said.
Jihadi, 73, was pronounced dead by doctors at the LabAid Hospital at 12.30 pm, Bangla Tribune quoted Hefazat’s Organizing Secretary, Idris Mir, as saying.
On Saturday, Jihadi was rushed to the hospital after he uneasy while returning to his home at Dhaka Khilgaon, following a Hefazat event at the National Press Club.
Nurul Islam Jihadi was made the general secretary of Hefazat in December, 2020, following the death of Nur Hossain Kashemi.
