Dhaka, March 14, 2021: The High Court has expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the administration in the case of beating of an eight-year-old student at a madrasa in Chittagong's Hathazari.

However, the court has warned the heads of all madrasas, including those madrasas, about governing child students. At the same time, the court asked the teachers of all the madrasas in the country to be vigilant in this regard.

A bench of the High Court comprising Justice Nazmul Ahsan and Justice Shahed Nur Uddin on Sunday (March 14) fixed the date for the hearing. The High Court also said that the matter will be under the supervision of the court.

Deputy Attorney General Barrister Abdullah Al Mahmoud Bashar said that after the video of the child abuse was published on social media and the media, the concerned Deputy Commissioner (DC), Superintendent of Police (SP) informed about the action taken against the teacher in the incident. ) And the officer-in-charge of the police station (OC) was directed by the High Court on March 11.

The hearing was set for Sunday (March 14). The report signed by Chittagong Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Mominur Rahman was submitted to the concerned court on the appointed day.

According to the report, the child student's parents did not agree to file a case against the accused teacher after the incident. Later, the police decided to file a case as a plaintiff. He was then arrested and expelled from the madrassa. At the same time, adequate security measures have been taken at the child's village home.

Earlier, the High Court passed the order on its own initiative after the state brought to the notice of the state the news and videos published in various media and social media.

It is learned that Yasin is a student of Hifz department of Markazul Quran Islamic Academy Madrasa in Hathazari municipal area. On Monday (March 8) afternoon, mother Parveen Akhter and father Mohammad visited their child at Joynal Madrasa. But on the way back, the little boy made a promise to go home with his parents. At one point, he followed his parents out of the main gate of the madrasa.

And this made the teacher Yahya angry. He went to the main gate with his parents and beat the child with a cane. And the child continues to yearn for survival. Even then, Yahya did not stop. His beatings continued unabated.
