Holy Shab e-Barat today

Dhaka, March 7: Today is the holy Shab e-Barat. The devout Muslims will observe the holy Shab e-Barat through 'Nafal Ibadat-Bandegir' in due religious status this (Tuesday) night, seeking the mercy of the great Rabbul Alamin.

The night before the 14th day of the month of Shaban of the Hijri year is an auspicious day for devout Muslims. On this glorious night, the Great Rabbul Alamin decides the fate of His servants. Devoted Muslims perform Nafal Namaz, Quran recitation, Zikir-Azgar and other worships in the hope of gaining the mercy and closeness of Almighty Allah on this night.

President Md. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina delivered separate messages today on the occasion of Shab e-Barat.

The President said in his speech, "The noble ideals of Islam are our path for the welfare of people in this time and liberation in the hereafter. On this holy day of Shab e-Barat, we pray for the infinite mercy and blessings of Almighty Allah as well as for the country's continued progress, welfare, and greater unity of the Muslim community. May the full virtues of the auspicious holy Shabbat be showered upon us."

On the occasion of the Holy Shab e-Barat, the Prime Minister congratulated all the Muslims of the world including Bangladesh and urged everyone to devote themselves to the work of human welfare and nation-building, inspired by the greatness of the Holy Shab e-Barat.

Meanwhile, on the occasion of Holy Shab e-Barat, Islamic Foundation has organized a series of programs including Waj, Doa Mahfil, Holy Quran Recitation, Hamd Naat tomorrow Tuesday at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
