Dhaka, August 12: The Chittagong Education Board's HSC examination has been postponed due to inundation due to continuous rains and floods in hill slopes. At the same time, the Madrasah and Technical Education Board HSC and Alim exams across the country have been postponed. HSC and equivalent exams will start on August 27 instead of August 17 in these three boards.

Apart from these three boards, the HSC examination of the other 8 boards will be held as usual from August 17 as per the pre-announced schedule.

The information and public relations officer of the Ministry of Education MA Khair confirmed this information at around 9:30 pm on Friday. He informed this information by quoting Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, President of Inter-Education Board Coordinating Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board.

MA Khayer said that due to the natural disaster, the HSC and equivalent examinations under Chittagong Education Board, Madrasa Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board will start from August 27 instead of August 17. The examination of other boards will be held as per the published schedule from August 17 as usual.

President of Inter-Education Board Coordinating Committee and Chairman of Dhaka Education Board Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar said that if it is not possible to take technical and madrasa board exams anywhere in the country, the exams of these two boards have to be suspended across the country. General 9 Education Boards conduct examinations in their own regions so the effect of postponement of examination in a particular area does not fall on all the boards. That is why we are able to start the examination from August 17 in eight boards.

This year the HSC examination will be held in full numbers and full time in all subjects. However, in the face of the demands of the students, the education boards have decided to conduct an exam of 75 marks instead of 100 marks in ICT.
