HSC results to be declared in January
Dhaka, January 28: Results for the HSC and equivalent examinations are likely to be declared in the month of January, reports said, stating that legal complications are over. Different education boards have been instructed to produce, publish and distribute certificates, however, it is subjected to the approval from the Prime Minister.
The information was given by Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni after a meeting at the National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) on Wednesday (January 27).
She said, "There is no complication in publishing the results of HSC equivalent examination without examination. The law has been amended in this regard. The education boards have been instructed by the education ministry to prepare and publish the results."
The education minister said, "Due to legal complications, the declaration of HSC results without the 2020 exam has been delayed. For this the law has been amended in the National Assembly. The Prime Minister has been asked for time to release the results. The results will be released this month."
Meanwhile, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the education boards have got the power to publish the results of HSC without the examination of 2020 academic year. The President issued three orders on Wednesday (January 27) asking technical, madrasa and general boards to produce results.
It is learned that the Prime Minister's time has been sought between January 29 and February 3 to release the results.
