Own Correspondent, Dhaka, Oct 20: HSC and equivalent exams are starting simultaneously across the country from November 6.

All coaching centers in the country have been ordered to be closed from November 3 to December 14 to avoid rumors of question leakage around this exam and to conduct the exam in a fair and beautiful environment without cheating. Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni gave this instruction at a press conference after the Law and Order Committee meeting at the Ministry of Education on Wednesday (October 19).

The education minister said that this time 12 lakh 3 thousand 407 candidates will participate under 9 education boards across the country. Students of 9,181 educational institutions in 2,649 examination centers in the country will participate in this examination. This year's higher secondary or HSC and equivalent exams will start on November 6 and end on December 13. The practical exam will start on December 15 and end on December 22. That means the HSC written exam will be completed in 37 days.

The current year's HSC exam will be held as per the revised syllabus. In HSC this time instead of taking the information and communication technology test, marks will be given through subject mapping.

Every year SSC and HSC exams start in February but last year it was not possible due to corona pandemic. Educational institutions were also closed for a long time. In this situation last year, the SSC exam was conducted in the middle of November, and the HSC exam at the beginning of December about nine months behind. However, this year, SSC and HSC exams were postponed due to the extreme deterioration of the flood situation along with Corona.
