Dhaka, July 27: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said, he will not change teams and will try to fulfill his duties with all his strength in the election. He made this promise in a dialogue with Jamiat Ulamae Islam Bangladesh at the election building on Tuesday (July 26).

In the dialogue, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam favored not using Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in elections. In this regard, CEC said, "We have not taken any decision about EVMs yet." But the problem with the ballot paper is that the ballot paper is torn and sealed. The previous elections in Bangladesh were held in 1973, followed by military rule. A yes-no vote. Highlighting the advantages of EVMs, he said, even if the EVMs are broken with sticks and hockey sticks, the vote will not be lost.

The CEC also said that the Chief Election Commissioner also discussed the increase in the rate of center capture and five hundred votes per voter. Pointing out that there are problems in various places, he assured to solve these problems and hold a meaningful, impartial and corruption-free election.

Urging to trust the EC, the EC Secretary said, trust us. Don't close your eyes while trusting. We have to keep in mind, whether we are really saints, or dishonest inside. If you do not take care of it, then you will not fulfill your responsibility.

How to manage money, give an idea. How to control this money? How can I get hold of you, how will you get hold of me if the actual cost is Tk 5 crore even if it is done on paper as Tk 5 lakh. It is possible. For this, a social movement should be developed.

CEC also said, "Our practice has become subculture. Pouring money, renting Mastan. It doesn't cost much to hire a professional killer, these days. Everyone has to do social movement to get out of this culture. You have to be on the field. We will help you if you give us the information. We promise this promise should have some value. It's not like we're going to change teams at all. That's not supposed to happen."
