Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 20 November 2023: Election Commissioner Rasheda Sultana said that if BNP comes to the election, opportunities will be created in accordance with the law. She said this in response to a question from journalists at the Agargaon Election Commission on Monday, November 20.

EC Rasheda Sultana said in response to the question whether the schedule can be delayed or not, "I will not say anything in advance, nor should I say anything. We will see when the situation arises. If BNP comes, we will welcome it. BNP should actually create opportunities in accordance with the law."

A major party (BNP) and many other parties are out of the polls, if they want to return to the polls, is it possible to return in this schedule or will there be any consideration for BNP? In response to such a question, Rasheda Sultana said, "Look, if they want to return, as far as I know, they came a little late before and got the opportunity. If they want to return, how can it be done, we will discuss and make a decision. If they decide, of course they want to come. We will welcome. It won't happen that we will never want them to come, we will turn them back."

She said, "I will not say anything in detail now. If they come, we commissioners will sit. We will see the laws and regulations. Then we will take a decision. I cannot say anything in advance."

That means you will consider - when asked this, she said, "If it comes, we will consider it. Of course we will. We want all parties to come and have a good election."

When asked what is the approach in this consideration, the Election Commissioner said, "What is the approach, I cannot tell you in detail at the moment. You see, according to my knowledge, they came in the 2018 election. But in that election, a little space was created for them. As we have in the law Yes, I'll do it that way. I won't go into details."

JaPa has appealed to the President to postpone the schedule, so whether the schedule can be postponed a little, he said in response to the question, "We will not say anything about this. The time has not yet come to say in advance. When it comes, I will say what happens. When the situation comes, We will take a decision based on the situation."
