Dhaka, July 25, 2021: Health Minister Zahid Malek has urged the people to abide by the lockdown announced by the government and said it is highly wanted that the number of patients does not increase.

And in order to reduce the transmission, the lockdown announced by the government, the call for the Prime Minister to comply with the lockdown must be complied with.

He said the infection is increasing from ten places, increasing the patient pressure in the hospital. If the infection continues like this, there will be no place in the hospital. He was speaking to media persons after inspecting the progress of construction of Corona Field Hospital at Bangamata Fazilatunnesa Mujib Convention Center of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Sunday (July 25).

He said, you should follow the hygiene rules, stay at home. Do not go out without urgent need. But surprisingly, today I saw different streets of Dhaka city - a lot of people are walking on the streets, many are not wearing masks, cars and motorcycles. This will damage the lockdown, it will take longer to prevent infection.

Zahid Malek said that if the corona infection continues, it will have an adverse effect on the economy of the country like other countries in the world, which we do not want. Therefore, there is no alternative to comply with the health rules. He said that the incidence of dengue is increasing at present. On the one hand, treatment of corona and non-corona patients, on the other hand, treatment is needed to increase the incidence of dengue.

The health minister said several separate hospitals were being set up to treat dengue patients. He said only a few hospitals, including Sir Salimullah Medical College Mitford Hospital, Lalkuthi Hospital in Mirpur, Government Railway Hospital and Ahsanullah Hospital in Tongi, would treat dengue.
