Dhaka, March 15: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said those who came to power with the anti-independence forces were not sincere in the development of the country. She said that if a country is in the hands of anti-independence, war criminals and murderers, the development of the country is never possible. After the assassination of Bangabandhu, the anti-independence clique and the murderers of the father of the nation came to power in this country. These forces did not want the independence of the country, they were not sincere in the development of the country, so they could not develop.

The Prime Minister said this while inaugurating the Bangladesh Infrastructure Development Fund on Monday (March 15). The Prime Minister inaugurated the BIDF via video conference from Ganobhaban. On the other hand, Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Governor of Bangladesh Bank Fazle Kabir were also present in the video conference.

The Prime Minister said after the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the progress of independent Bangladesh was hampered. Bangladesh moved away from the consciousness, thought and ideology with which Bangladesh became independent. The murderers of the father of the nation, the anti-independence war criminals, were in power.

Why would those who did not believe in the independence of Bangladesh work to change the fate or development of the people of this country? They didn't. There has been no continuous democracy in this country. He noted that military dictators have run the state from time to time, sometimes overtly, sometimes covertly, sometimes invisibly.

The head of government said the development thinking, sincerity and mentality of the present government to work for the welfare of the country and the people of the country is taking us forward. We can now fund our own development with our own foreign exchange. War-torn after independence: Bangladesh was built by the father of the nation and started its economic journey. The journey of economic development that he started, unfortunately he could not finish it.

"After 21 years, when the Awami League government came, our efforts have been to take this country forward," she said. "Tried the first five years, went a long way. Then I could not stay in power for eight years. Since I have been in government for the second time since I came to power, the development of the country is becoming visible today."
