Dhaka, March 24: Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said that if you love Bangabandhu, you have to hate corruption, terrorism, adulteration, communal violence and militancy.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the presentation of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's historic 7th March speech in eight foreign languages at Sheikh Jamal Stadium in Faridpur on Thursday.

Obaidul Quader said, people's words rule, people's words lead. Not everyone's words rule, not everyone's words lead. Today we will talk about the man, whose words inspired seven and a half crore freedom-crazed Bengalis on that day with the mantra of freedom. How old was this man, how many years did he live? 54 years 6 months 7 days. This is his age limit. This man has spent 4 thousand 682 days in jail in these 54 years.

He said, our ancestors gave blood and life. How many mothers' tears, how many heroes' blood has stained the soil of Bengal again and again for freedom. But freedom did not come.

After a thousand years, a brave mother blessed us with birth on the banks of the Madhumati River in Tungipara of Greater Faridpur, who added this country called Bengal to the world map in 1971 by avenging the defeat and humiliation of our forefathers. That is why we are free today. Unfortunately we lost him in 1975 due to the conspiracy of traitors.

Obaidul Quader said, today I have not come here to give a speech, but to listen to a speech. The speech was made by the children. I am enthralled to listen to Bangabandhu's historical speeches in different languages.

Deputy Commissioner Md. Kamrul Ahsan Talukder presided over the event. The program started with the national anthem. After the welcoming speech of the Deputy Commissioner, the presentation of Bangabandhu's March 7 speech in eight foreign languages began.

Those who presented Bangabandhu's March 7 speech in eight foreign languages are Dilip Mandal in Japanese, Tanveen Islam in Spanish, Nazmul Islam in Persian, Saiful Islam in Arabic, Kaushik Malo in French, Farhana Janam in English, Maruf Ahmed in Chinese and Shreya Tulsian in Hindi.
