Dhaka, March 9: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that it is being investigated whether the BNP is sabotaging or not.
He said, "We are investigating whether BNP is behind such explosions one after another."
Obaidul Quader said this to the journalists after the joint meeting held with the president and editors of the Awami League at the Bangabandhu Avenue central office on Wednesday. A joint meeting was held at the party office at Bangabandhu Avenue.
The bridge minister said that when Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is out of the country, some untoward incidents have happened in our country. Whether it is sabotage or not is being urgently investigated by the government. No one needs to worry about this.
In response to BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgig's statement that "one after another explosions are mysterious", Obaidul Quader said, "I agree with the statement given by Mirza Fakhrul Islam that these incidents are mysterious. It has to be looked into."
He said, I express deep grief over the death of those who died in the arson incident in the Rohingya camp of Siddikbazar in Gulistan, Sitakund in Chittagong, Balukhali in Cox's Bazar. It is being investigated whether any person, organization or group is behind these mysterious incidents. The Home Minister said that they are looking into whether sabotage is being done or not.
The road transport minister said, we are holding a peace rally, because BNP's movement means fire and terrorism. In the past we have seen in 2013-14-15 that the agitation failed and they resorted to arson. We are in the field for peace so they cannot do that. In this regard, we are warning the people and countrymen.
