Japanese girls will stay with their mother till January 23

Own representative, Dhaka, January 4: The Appellate Division of the Supreme Court has ruled on the two daughters of American citizen of Bangladeshi origin, Imran Sharif, and Japanese national Dr. Nakano Erico. According to the order, the two girls will stay with their mother till January 23. They will stay at Hotel Scott Palace in Baridhara of the capital. Their father, Imran Sharif, can meet them any time between 9 am and 9 pm everyday.

A three-member bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique passed the order on Monday (January 3) morning after hearing the Japanese mother's appeal. Advocate Ahsanul Karim was present at the hearing on behalf of the mother in the court, accompanied by Advocate Mohammad Shishir Monir. On the other hand, lawyer Fawzia Karim Firoz was on the father's side. Barrister Maruful Islam was with him. Two girls were present in the courtroom with their parents that time.

Earlier on December 15, while hearing the appeal filed by Japanese mother Nakano Erico to take her two minor daughters, Jasmine Malika (11) and Laila Lina (10), the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court had ordered that the girls would stay with their mother until Jan 3, and their father could meet them any time between 9 am and 9 pm everyday.
