JaPa Jatiya Party's pro-Rowshan candidates announced a new committee
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 10 February 2024: The new committee of the party has been announced in the national conference called by Rowshan Ershad followers of Jatiya Party. Rowshan Ershad, the wife of late Hussain Muhammad Ershad, the founding chairman of Jatiya Party, was elected as the chairman. Besides, Kazi Mamunur Rashid has been elected as Secretary General.
Japa co-chairman Kazi Feroz Rashid presided over the national conference held at Engineers Institution in the capital on Saturday (March 9) afternoon. When the presidium members of the party proposed the name of Roshan Ershad as the chairman of the Jatiya Party, the present councilors and delegates raised their hands and supported it. After announcing the committee, Rashid Begum of Kazi Mamunur touched Roshan Ershad's feet and saluted. After that several amendments were brought in the constitution of the party.
Another presidium member of the party Fakhruzzaman Jahangir announced the names of other senior leaders of the party. Among them, Kazi Feroze Rashid was declared as Executive Chairman, Syed Abu Hossain Babla Senior Co-Chairman and Sahidur Rahman Tepa, Shafiqul Islam Sentu, Rahgir Al Mahi Saad Ershad, Golam Sarwar Milan and Sunil Shubo Roy as Co-Chairmen. After announcing this name, Golam Sarwar Milon announced the name of Kazi Mamunur Rashid as Secretary General to the councilors and delegates present. Everyone present supported it.
