Dhaka, Oct 16: Twelve-party alliance leader and Kalyan Party Chairman Syed Mohammad Ibrahim said BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's health condition is very critical.
He said, "Her health condition is so critical that anything can happen anytime."
On Sunday, the leaders of the 12-party alliance went to Ever Care Hospital in Bashundhara to meet Khaleda Zia and inquire about her health condition. He said these there.
Leaders of the 12-party alliance could not meet Khaleda Zia as she was asleep. However, cardiologist Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder, one of the members of the medical board briefed the alliance leaders in detail about Khaleda Zia's health.
Citing Dr. A Z M Zahid Hossain, Syed Ibrahim said that Khaleda Zia was shifted to CCU when her health condition deteriorated on Saturday night.
Syed Ibrahim said that Khaleda Zia is suffering from multiple diseases. Right now he has to be taken abroad for liver transplant which is not possible in Bangladesh. Even if a doctor is brought from abroad to perform the operation, it is not possible to give him any treatment in the country because there is no post management system in Bangladesh.
He also said that Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder said that he had never seen a patient with strong morale like Begum Zia in his medical career. She has been fighting a physical battle since being infected with Corona. She did not get proper treatment before. Urging the government to immediately send Zia abroad for treatment, Ibrahim said that if anything happens to Begum Zia, the current government will have to take responsibility for it. The leaders of the 12-party alliance also sought the prayers of the countrymen for Khaleda Zia's well-being.
