Bangladesh Book Fair Kolkata: Bangladesh book fair inaugurated
Kolkata: Bangladesh book fair was inaugurated in Indian city of Kolkata recently.
The fair was inaugurated by the Minister of Education Dr. Deepu Moni.
The fair is being held in Kolkata under the initiative of Bangladesh Deputy High Commission, Bangladesh Export Development Bureau and Bangladesh Knowledge and Creative Publishers Association.
The fair will continue till December 11.
This is the tenth season of the fair.
The fair will run from 1 pm to 8 pm.
Books of 75 publishers of Bangladesh are available in this fair. 68 stalls have been provided. Although this fair has been organized for ten years, the Bangladesh Book Fair has not been held in the last two years due to the Corona epidemic.
And this time, the first fair is being held at College Square. Education Minister of Bangladesh Dr. Apart from Dipu Moni, West Bengal Education Minister Bratya Basu, Kolkata Municipal Mayor Debashis Kumar, Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Andalib Elias were also present at the opening ceremony.
In the opening ceremony, Bratya Basu said that Bangladesh Book Fair is being held in this state. Similarly, if you can hold a book fair published here in Bangladesh, then the people there will also be able to read these Bengali books.
In response to his words, the education minister of Bangladesh said that we will have a West Bengal book fair there as well. You will get the help of all our publishers, writers. These books are available in all our bookstores.
Dipu Moni also said that West Bengal does not feel like a foreign country. We are two countries because of passport-visa. However, the relationship between our two countries is very close. Like the Prime Minister here, our Prime Minister has a very good relationship with the Chief Minister. So the relationship between the two countries as well as the two Bengals is sweet.
