Light pressure in the sea again, rain may increase in three days

Dhaka, September 11: There is another light pressure in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, the tendency of rain on the land of Bangladesh may increase in the next three days, said the Meteorological Department.

The whole country except Khulna division was almost rainless on Thursday. However, the rain has increased a bit on Friday. There was no rain in Barisal and Sylhet divisions on Friday. Where it rained, there was little. The highest temperature in the country on Friday was in Dhaka, 37 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologist Md. Hafizur Rahman said that a light pressure has been created in the central Bay of Bengal and nearby North Bay. It may condense and move west and northwest. The monsoon is moderately active over Bangladesh and moderate over the North Bay.

Day and night temperatures across the country may remain almost unchanged in the next 24 hours from Saturday morning. Hafizur Rahman also said that the tendency of rain may increase in the next three days.

In the next 24 hours from 9 am on Saturday, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and some parts of Sylhet division may experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusts. At the same time, there may be scattered moderate to heavy rains in some parts of the country.

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours from 6 am on Friday to 6 am on Saturday was 45 mm in Tentulia. Dhaka received six mm of rain at that time.
