Dhaka, July 23: Local warning signal No. 3 has been issued in the seaports due to the effect of light pressure in the Bay of Bengal. According to meteorologists, there will be more rain across the country on Friday and Saturday as compared to the last few days due to light pressure.

"The light pressure created in the Bay of Bengal is not likely to be strong anymore. The effect of light pressure can cause strong winds in seaports. For this, local warning number 3 has been issued in the ports," Meteorologist Monowar Hossain said on Friday morning.

"The light pressure will move by tomorrow (Saturday) off the coast of Orissa or West Bengal in India," he added.

Monowar Hossain said that the rain will increase a little in Bangladesh due to light pressure. "Now the monsoon is already active in the southern part of the country. Rain will also increase in the upper (middle to northern) side. This tendency of rain will decrease from tomorrow (Saturday) onwards. There is a possibility of very heavy rain towards Chittagong at this time."
