Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 21 October 2023: Low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal. It is likely to intensify (condense), the Met Office said. Meteorologists have said that there may be rain in different parts of the country by the end of next week.

The temperature is gradually decreasing. On Friday (October 20) morning, the lowest temperature in the country was 19.4 degrees Celsius at Tentulia in Panchagarh. The minimum temperature on Thursday was 20 degrees Celsius, compared to 20.1 degrees Celsius the previous day. Earlier on Tuesday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 21 degrees Celsius. For the past few days, the lowest temperature has been in Tamarind.

The minimum temperature in Dhaka was 24.9 degrees Celsius on Friday. Meteorologist Md. Bajlur Rashid said, a low pressure has formed in the Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjacent Southeast Bay of Bengal. It can be more concentrated.

In the weather forecast for the next 24 hours from 9 am, he said that the weather in the whole country may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy skies. Day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country and night temperatures may drop slightly.

Bajlur Rashid said that the whole country will remain without rain for the next two days and the temperature may also remain unchanged. There is a trend of rainfall with rain or thunder in the next five days.

Due to various natural reasons, a region of centrifugal wind or low pressure is created in some places of the sea. Gradually this stormy area gathers energy (increasing wind speed) to become a clear low pressure, low pressure, deep depression and finally a cyclone. According to the Meteorological Department, the clear depression is the area of gusty winds of 31 to 40 km per hour. A low pressure is a gusty area with wind speed between 41 and 50 km per hour. In case of deep depression, the wind speed is between 51 and 61 kmph.

If the wind speed is between 62 and 88 km/h in a stormy area, it is called a cyclone.

Meteorologists said that the low pressure created in the Bay of Bengal today may strengthen and turn into a low pressure.
