Dhaka, December 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, many slanders were tried against me and my family regarding the Padma Bridge. But it has been proven that there was no corruption here. Then we decided to build the Padma Bridge on our own. Then many people said, it is never possible. When I discussed with the heads of government of many countries, they said it is not possible. Making the impossible possible - this is the Bengali character; We can do it, we did it.
She said these while addressing the chief guest at the graduation ceremony of the National Defense Course 2022 and Armed Forces War Course 2022 on Monday morning.
The Prime Minister said that our armed forces always stand by the people in any danger or disaster. They have earned the trust of people. Our armed forces are also playing a very efficient role in peacekeeping missions abroad. Our girls are getting accolades at the United Nations.
Sheikh Hasina said, "The father of the nation enacted our maritime boundary law in 1974. But the United Nations did in 1982. Our land boundary, that is, the land to which Bangladesh has the right, was also made by the father of the nation. Fix the constitution accordingly. Talks about the enclave with India. But unfortunately, those in power in the middle did not take any initiative. Awami League came to power and took the initiative. Today we are able to exchange enclaves with India very peacefully. We have fixed our territory, our boundaries. Now we are also constructing the border road."
The head of government said that today's Bangladesh has got the status of a developing country. This is possible because the democratic process continues. Ever since we formed the government we have focused on our socio-economic development.
