Mayor Taposh Mayor Taposh holds meeting with Intel Board Chairman
Dhaka, December 7: The chairman of the board of directors of the world's largest processor manufacturer, Intel, Md. Omar Ishrak, had a courtesy meeting with the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh.
The courtesy meeting was held on Tuesday (December 6) at DSCC's head office in Nagar Bhavan.
During this time, Sheikh Taposh and Omar Ishraq exchanged mutual experiences on various excellences of technology and civil services. In order to make Dhaka a livable and modern city, Omar Ishraq praised and wished the success of various initiatives of the mayor, including the formulation of the 'Integrated Master Plan for the City of Dhaka'. During the meeting, the Intel chairman reminisced about his childhood in Dhanmondi.
Among others, the wife and daughter of the American origin of the Intel chairman were present. Omar Ishraq is a Bangladeshi-American citizen. He has served as Chairman of Intel's Board of Directors since 2020. Before that, he served as the chief executive of a medical technology company called Medtronic from 2011 to 2020.
