Mayor Taposh Mayor Taposh stands with traders affected in Nawabpur fire
Dhaka, April 15: Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh visited the fire affected area on Nawabpur Road in Old Dhaka. He went to the scene on Friday afternoon.
During the visit, he consoled the businessmen affected by the fire. Dhaka South City Corporation chief executive officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, local councilor Md. Mamun and local leaders of Awami League were present at the time.
Meanwhile, a fire incident occurred in a factory called Bangladesh Thai Aluminum in Chandra area of Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur. The fire was brought under control with the efforts of two units of Gazipur Fire Service.
Abdullah Al Arefin, Deputy Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, said that the fire started at around 4:45 pm on Friday.
He said that a fire broke out in a factory called Bangladesh Thai Aluminum in Chandra area of Kaliakair upazila of Gazipur at 4:45 pm on Friday. On receiving the information, two units of Kaliakor Fire Service brought the fire under control after 15 minutes of effort. No casualties were reported. He could not immediately tell the extent of the damage.
