Dhaka, July 4: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has commented that BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir is not in a good mood as the people of the country are at ease.

He said, "People are in peace, are they happy or are people in trouble in the words of the opposition party? If people are happy, BNP suffers, Fakhrul Sahib is suffering. I wouldn't say people are doing very well, but at ease. This relief of people is a cause of discomfort for Mirza Fakhrul Islam. That's why he's not in a good mood."

He said these in response to questions from journalists after the meeting of Awami League's Parliamentary Nomination Board on Monday. Addressing BNP Secretary General, Obaidul Quader said, "I will tell him only one thing - I said about the world, if Mirza Fakhrul visits the neighboring countries, and observes the market, then he will understand that the price of goods in Bangladesh is at an unbearable level in the current world crisis. Didn't go."

He said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is trying her best to keep the price of goods within the tolerable capacity of the people. Mirza Fakhrul does not know the outside news, I request him to visit the neighboring countries, ask him to visit and observe the markets. Then if he tells the truth."

General Secretary of Awami League said, "Now they are blaming the government for politics. Today, due to world wars, embargo-counter-embargo, countries like Pakistan, countries like Sri Lanka are struggling. In India, commodity prices are witnessing higher growth than ever before. The world economy is mostly responsible for this."

Mentioning that there was no crisis in Bangladesh, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister said, "We had no crisis here. Everything was tolerable here. But I say to Mirza Fakhrul Islam Saheb, when you are bringing these baseless allegations against the government, when you are saying that people did not have any joy this Eid. If there is no joy, how many animals have been sacrificed this time than last time? Does he have an account of it? 51 lakh more animals have been sacrificed this time."
