BNP Mirza Fakhrul meets US delegation
Dhaka, 25 February 2024 : BNP held a meeting with the US delegation which came to Dhaka on a three-day visit.
The meeting was held on Saturday, February 24, at Hotel Westin in the capital. Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the party's media cell, gave this information at around 3:30 p.m. that day.
According to a press release from the US Embassy on Saturday, the country's representatives in Dhaka are Elin Laubaker, Special Assistant to the US President and Senior Director for South Asia of the National Security Council (NSC), Michael Schiffer, Assistant Administrator of USAID's Bureau of Asian Affairs, and the Department of State's Deputy Assistant for South and Central Asia. Secretary Afrin Akhter.
Apart from Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Standing Committee member Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury and Organizing Secretary Shama Obaid were present in the meeting with the US delegation. However, nothing was known about the topic of the meeting. The secretary general of BNP did not say anything after coming out of the meeting. He answered the greeting and got into the car.
Later, journalists surrounded Amir Khusro, head of the party's foreign affairs committee. He avoided the question with a smile.
Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury said, "There is nothing to say." They invited us, we came. I have spoken, that's all.' What was discussed, Amir Khosru replied, 'Nothing to say.'
