Dhaka, January 24: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said that four days ago I heard information about the presence of RAB in the case of attempted kidnapping of two people from Mohakhali flyover in the capital, but this information has not yet come officially. He said, the misdeeds of the law and order forces are painful for everyone. So far, more than 17 RAB members and a DIG of police are in jail. Neither RAB-police nor public representatives are above the law.

The minister said this in response to questions from reporters after the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected committee of the Bangladesh Truck-Covered Van Owners Association at the Institute of Engineers in the capital on Monday. In response to the question of the journalists, why the members of the law and order forces are indulging in such misdeeds despite getting their salaries on time, the home minister said, if the law and order forces commit misdeeds, it is difficult for everyone. RAB-Police are not above the law.

He said that so far more than 17 RAB members and a DIG of police are in jail. Everyone will be tried according to the law. I heard information about the presence of RAB members in the incident that day (January 20). Three people have been arrested so far.

The minister also said that we are in a strict position to maintain law and order. Any deviation from regular activities will be punished.

In response to a question about the Rohingyas, the Home Minister said that the Rohingyas are putting the country in a difficult position. When unemployed people are together, what happens is what happens. Rohingyas can be a challenge not only for us but for the whole world. Rohingyas may be targeted by international terrorists. They can be tempted by any temptation. The world should come forward for a quick solution.

It is to be noted that on the night of January 20, there was an attempt to abduct two people in the identity of members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) by stopping a car at Mohakhali flyover in the capital. In this incident, the police arrested three people, including a person who identified himself as a RAB member. The arrested are Md Muminul, his driver and a relative.
