Mohib Ullah's killers will be brought to justice

Dhaka, October 3, 2021: The killers of Rohingya leader Mohib Ullah will be brought to justice.

Foreign Minister in a message sent to the media on Saturday (October 2) morning. Abdul Momen informed him about this. He said none of those involved in the killings would be spared.

The foreign minister said the government would take strict action against those involved in the killing of Rohingya leaders. He expressed suspicion that some vested interests had killed the Rohingya leader. Because Mohib Ullah wanted to return to his homeland in Myanmar.

Earlier on Wednesday (September 29), unidentified gunmen fired five rounds at Muhibullah's own office at around 9:15 pm. At this time three rounds of bullets hit him in the chest. Mohib Ullah was later rescued by members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBN) and taken to the MSF hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.

District police and APBN patrols in Rohingya camps have been stepped up since the assassination of Rohingya leader Muhibullah. 14 APBN Superintendent of Police Naimul Haque said law enforcement agencies were working to arrest those involved in the killings.

Habibullah, the younger brother of Rohingya leader Mohib Ullah, filed a case against 20-25 unidentified people on Thursday night.

Incidentally, Mohib Ullah was the chairman of the Arakan Rohingya Society for Peace and Human Rights.

He came to the discussion by holding a general assembly in the Rohingya camp on 22 August 2019. Mohib Ullah was one of the 26 representatives of the minority community in 18 countries who met with former US President Donald Trump in July of that year and complained.
