Mominul: Hearing on May 9

Dhaka, May 2, 2021: Police and District Detective Branch (DB) have applied for a 24-day remand for interrogation of Hefazat-e-Islam joint secretary general Mamunul Haque. The remand was applied in three cases on Monday (May 2).

The court has fixed May 9 for hearing in the matter. Senior Judicial Magistrate Ahmed Humayun Kabir fixed the date.

Earlier, the police had sought remand for 10 days in the case of Jharna in Sonargaon police station in Narayanganj, seven days in the case of Royal Resort Kand and seven days in the case of vandalism of Upazila Awami League office.

Narayanganj Superintendent of Police (SP) Zaidul Alam said Mamunul Haque has been remanded for further questioning for 10 days in the Jharna case, 14 days in the DB investigation and 14 days in the Awami League office attack case.
