MPs Oath Monirul Islam, Anowar Hossain take oath as MPs
Dhaka, October 29: Kazi Monirul Islam of Dhaka-5 constituency and Md. Anowar Hossain (Helal) of Naogaon-6 constituency have taken oath as MPs on Wednesday (October 26) in the Parliament building. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury administered their oath.
Deputy Speaker Md. Fazle Rabbi Mia, Chief Whip Nur-e-Alam Chowdhury, Whip Iqbalur Rahim, Whip Mahabub Ara Begum Gini and Whip Abu Saeed Al Mahmud Swapan were present during the ceremony.
Senior Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat Dr. Zafar Ahmed Khan anchored the event. After taking oath, two Members of Parliament (MPs) signed the oath book of Parliament.
The Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 seats fell vacant after after the deaths of Md. Habibur Rahman Mollah and Md. Israfil Alam. By-elections were held on October 17 in both the constituencies.
