Dhaka, July 25, 2021: Patient pressure is increasing rapidly at the country's largest corona hospital 'DNCC Dedicated Corona Hospital', which was launched in the capital's Mohakhali.

As there is no oxygen crisis in this hospital yet, patients from different hospitals are gathering here.

According to the information received from the hospital on Saturday (July 24), 513 patients have been admitted to the hospital. There are about two hundred patients in the ICU.

Concerned people say that the number of patients in the hospital was less even a few days ago. But the number of patients has been increasing since the day after Eid. The patient's pressure has increased since this morning. In this situation, work is underway to increase the number of new beds in the hospital.

The hospital was set up in the capital's Mohakhali about three months ago to treat patients infected with coronavirus (Covid-19). The 1,000-bed hospital has more than 500 ICU and HDU beds.

Brigadier General AKM Nasir Uddin, director of the hospital, said, "We have noticed an increase in the rate of corona infection in the country over the last few days." This has also had an effect on our hospital. The number of patients admitted and deaths is increasing here too. '

Noting that there is no oxygen crisis here, he said, "We have a lot of oxygen here and we are using high flow, buy cap sea cap, ventilator."

"The 500 general beds we have in the general ward do not provide oxygen to the patients," he said. Cylinders will be arranged in them. Besides, work is being started to make 500 new beds. They will be under central oxygen. '

He added, "We are installing another GI tank for central oxygen. Waiter's work will be done in the next 5 to 7 days. Allready has become our structure."

The director of the hospital said, ‘We have patients coming here from Kurmitola, Dhaka Medical, Mugda Hospital. I am taking patients as long as I can. And because of the increase in patient pressure, we are planning and working. If we bring the new beds under the auspices of Central Oxygen, we can keep many serious patients. However, if the corona continues to grow in this way, no system will work.
