Bangladesh Biman More Chinese vaccine arrives in Bangladesh
Dhaka, 14 August 2021: A special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines has arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka with 1 million doses of covid vaccine from China.
On Friday (August 13), Biman's chartered flight BG-5075 landed in Dhaka from China's Tianjin Binhai International Airport at 1pm Bangladesh time with 1 million Covid vaccines and 4.1 ton syringes in 313 cartons.
A press release signed by Tahera Khandaker, Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) of Biman Bangladesh Airlines said on Friday that another Biman flight would leave for Tianjin Binhai International Airport in China at 10 am on Saturday.
The return flight from China with Covid vaccine will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 11:45 pm Bangladesh time on Saturday.
The airline is transporting vaccines, ventilators and other protective equipment at affordable cost during the Corona epidemic, following international aviation policy and the World Health Organization's safety policy.
Biman Bangladesh Airlines has already transported a total of 6 million doses of Cinofarm Covid Vaccine from China through 6 flights and 250 ventilators sent as gifts to expatriate Bangladeshis free of cost from Delhi.
