Dhaka, January 17: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said that the Narayanganj City Corporation (Nasik) election has been marred by negative and anti-development politics. He said those who believe in a culture of conspiracy and propaganda have suffered in this election. Obaidul Quader made the remarks at a briefing at his residence on Monday (January 17th).

The general secretary of the Awami League clearly mentioned the spontaneous participation of the people in the elections held on Sunday and the festive atmosphere as the victory of democracy. He said this was a victory of the ongoing democratic journey under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

The general secretary of Awami League said, Narayanganj city election was a big election at the beginning of the year. Obaidul Quader thanked the people and all concerned including the Election Commission for holding a participatory, peaceful and free election here.

Meanwhile, on Sunday night, on the news of the victory of Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy, the well-wishers and political leaders greeted her mother-in-law at the palace. Rajbari's daughter-in-law Ivy has been elected mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation for the third time. She is the wife of Kazi Ahsan Hayat, a New Zealand expatriate computer engineer behind the Government Adarsh ​​Mahila College in Rajbari district.

Rajbari resident Selina Hayat greeted and congratulated Ivy's father-in-law on her election through social media.

It is learned that on November 15, 1995, Ivy got married to Kazi Ahsan Hayat in the backyard of Government Adarsh ​​Mahila College in Rajbari district. Ahsan Hayat is a New Zealand expatriate computer engineer. They have two sons named Kazi Sadman Hayat Seemant and Kazi Sardil Hayat Ananta.
