Asked about the reaction to the new election commission, Kazi Zafar Ullah, one of the presidium members of the Awami League, said, "We know the new election commissioner as a good man. His responsibility is to make free, fair and impartial elections. We, the leaders of Awami League, will extend all possible cooperation to him in this regard as he wishes. '

Abdur Rahman, another member of the presidium of the Awami League, said that the new election commission will give the gift of a free, fair and neutral election, this is the expectation of the people. At the same time, they will fulfill their responsibilities with honesty and sincerity, so that the countrymen can have confidence in them.

Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, joint secretary of the party, said the main responsibility of the new EC was to make all elections, including the upcoming national elections, free, fair and neutral. He said, "Everyone who has been appointed to the new EC has worked on the basis of efficiency, integrity and competence. Our hope is that they will meet the expectations of the people in the same way that they have shown in the past. '

Hanif said, "I think we have been able to get out of the EC without any controversy. We urge all political parties not to try to justify this commission by talking nonsense for the sake of political gain, that is the expectation of the nation. "

Former Secretary Kazi Habibul Awal has been appointed as the next Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). He will be accompanied by four other election commissioners. They are retired District and Sessions Judge Begum Rashida Sultana, retired Brigadier General Ahsan Habib Khan and former senior secretary Md. Alamgir and Anisur Rahman. Twelfth parliamentary elections will be held under the chairmanship of this commission headed by Habibul Awal, who has been appointed as the 13th CEC of the country.
