Government College Principal New principals appointed in 46 government colleges
Dhaka, February 4: The Ministry of Education has appointed new principals in 46 government colleges of the country. The principal will be posted in the remaining colleges soon. The appointment was made on Tuesday (February 2) in a separate order from the Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education.
The order, signed by Dr. Srikanto Kumar Chanda, deputy secretary in the education ministry, said the officers of the BCS (General Education) cadre would remain in the post until they were re-appointed.
Srikanto Kumar Chanda said that the appointment of teachers and officers is a normal process. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, there were vacancies in some colleges. A long order has been placed to meet them. The remaining vacant posts will be filled soon.
Professor IK Selim Ullah Khandaker, Principal of Kabi Nazrul Government College, has been appointed as the new Principal of Dhaka College. Amena Begum, a professor of accounting at Titumir Government College, has been appointed as the new principal of Kabi Nazrul Government College.
Mahbubur Rahman has been made the principal of Chatkhil Panchgaon Mahbub Government College in Noakhali; Tushar Kanti Barua has been appointed Principal of Rangamati Government College; Shiv Prasad Das Gupta has been appointed as the principal of Chauddagram Government College; Md. Arif Hasan Chowdhury has been appointed principal of Government Teachers Training College Principal; Mohammad Golam Farooq has been apointed as the principal of Dhaka Government Teachers Training College; Sabikun Nahar has been appointed the principal of Begum Badrunnesa Government Women's College.
Dr. Archana Dutta has been appointed as the new principal of Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Government College's; Sufiun Nahar has been appointed as the new principal of Duaripara Government College; Dr. Md. Selim Mia has been appointed as the new principal of Dhamrai Government College; Khurshid Solaiman has been appointed as the new principal of Faridpur Government Teachers Training College; Kazi Golam Mostafa has been appointed as the new principal of Sarada Sundari Mahila College, Faridpur; Md. Asadul Alam Khan has been appointed as the principal of Nagarkanda College, Faridpur.
Shamima Akhter has been appointed as the new principal of Barhamganj Government College, Shibchar, Madaripur; Md. Gias Uddin has been appointed as the principal of Government Safal Ali College, Araihazar; Dr. Md.
