Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 19 March 2024: Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that no one can erase the name of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from the soil of Bengal. He said, "Bangabandhu is the beacon of our faith in the stormy sea. This beacon will guide us forever. We will take the struggle to build a golden Bengal under the leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina to the golden port of victory."

Quader said this at a discussion organized by Bangladesh Awami League at the Dhaka district Awami League office on Monday on the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

The Bridge Minister said that the Bangabandhu family is the place of greatest ideals in this country. Honesty and courage are two main virtues of politics. Starting from Ziaur Rahman, many people have tried to portray the character of the Bangabandhu family.

He said, 75 when I went back, the Father of the Nation's bloody body was lying on the stairs of number 32. 570 soaps and relief cloths were used for burial in Tungipara after 2 days. 18/19 were allowed to perform Janaza. By burying Bangabandhu in Tungipara, they thought that people would forget Bangabandhu. Their calculations are wrong, today Tungipara is a Bengali pilgrimage center.

He said, the legacy of freedom and economic liberation will not die. Prime Minister's son Sajib Wazed Joy came to the country quietly, left quietly. Under his leadership, there has been a massive revolution in the field of ICT in the country. The architect of this revolution is Jai. Coming to the country and doing his necessary work, he is quietly leaving again. No response. This is Bangabandhu's family. He said, what will we learn from the father of the nation today? How do we learn about our politics, how do we learn what qualifications are needed in our politics? I will say, Bangabandhu's family is the place of greatest ideals in this country. Honesty and courage are the two main virtues of politics.
