Tuition No teacher of Vikarunnisa can do coaching
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, 28 February 2024: No teacher of Vikarunnisa Noon School and College in the capital can be coached. In case of non-compliance, the accused teacher will be given a letter to show the reason, said Keka Roy Chowdhury, acting principal of the institution. She said these things while talking to reporters on Tuesday.
Keka Roy Chowdhury said that no teacher of this educational institution can provide coaching. And the accused teacher will be given a show cause letter. Further decision will be taken after the higher committee submits the inquiry report within 10 working days.
Earlier, in a notice sent to the press on Monday night, it was informed that the students will protest in the college premises to demand the trial of the teacher. They alleged that Murad Hossain Sarkar, the teacher of Azimpur branch of this educational institution used to sexually harass the students. The notification sent to the students said that Murad Hossain Sarkar had sexually harassed female students under him in the Azimpur branch as a father-like person, in the name of adoration, and instead of expelling him as a punishment for this ugly act, his crime was condoned as he came to perform Hajj. It is not possible for us to feel safe with such vile people inside the school campus just by increasing the monitoring of the branch head. We want a fair trial of the crime.
Meanwhile, the teacher was arrested from his house in Kala Bagan in the capital on Monday. Today the police produced him in court and applied for 7 days remand. The court granted his two-day remand.
